Equipment Pilates can help you enhance flexibility, build core strength, recover from injuries, and improve mind-body harmony. Try out equipment like the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair, Spine Corrector, and Foot Corrector in a small group class. We offer a mix of progressive classes and drop in equipment classes.

Group Equipment Foundations

The perfect 50-minute introduction to the Pilates Reformer and Trapeze Table. You will experience movement in a very unique way as the resistance of the equipment springs provide your body with the perfect balance between support and challenge. The pace of this class is geared towards people who are new to Pilates, coming back to movement after an injury, or who are pregnant. This class is also appropriate for a body with osteoporosis or disc issues. Learn how to move better and feel better.

Beginner Group Equipment

Joseph Pilates was an inventor who created brilliant equipment to teach Pilates. At Lead, we teach on the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair, Spine Corrector, and Foot Corrector (visit us to learn what these are all about!). Pilates equipment can be used with every body, from beginner to advanced and everything in-between.

Intermediate Group Equipment

Level up with intermediate group equipment. Building on the foundations you learned in Beginner Group Equipment, our Intermediate class will challenge you to build your endurance, and become stronger and more flexible than before!

Note: You must complete Beginner Group Equipment prior to taking Intermediate Group Equipment.

Advanced Group Equipment

Once you’ve completed Beginner & Intermediate Group Equipment, you’re ready for the advanced class. Our most challenging class, this is for people who have seriously committed to living their best lives through Pilates!

Jump Mix

Think there is no cardio in the world of Pilates??? Think again! The Jumpboard (which is an attachment on the Pilates Reformer) will challenge you in so many ways! Your body will get stronger, leaner and more flexible each week and the ‘fun factor’ of this class is off the charts! Get ready for heart pumping jumping (safe for your joints and pelvic floor) plus additional strength training with fun props to round out this total body workout!

Our Pilates Instructors

Desiree Deis

I think what made me fall in love with Pilates is how an exercise that looks simple to do can be the most difficult to achieve correctly. From my background in dance, Pilates compliments dance so well! You work your body from the inside out and I find that feeling to be invigorating!  My most rewarding experience since being a part of the Lead team would have to be the expressions left on the clients’ faces after a Pilates class has ended. They are leaving the studio happy, and feeling better than when they arrived.

Inna Cavalcanti

Inna graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte/Brazil. She is also certified in Pilates for Rehabilitation by Polestar Education (Miami/FL). In 2007, she opened her Pilates studio in Natal/Brazil and, since then, has been using Pilates and other physiotherapy modalities to improve the quality of life of her patients. Inna is experienced in treating a wide variety of conditions, such as orthopedic and neurological. Although she enjoys working with different types of clients, she loves seeing geriatric patients. Helping people to be more functional and independent in their day-to-day activities is her favourite part of being a physiotherapist! In addition to English, she speaks Portuguese and Spanish. Inna enjoys exploring the world and meeting new people in her spare time.
