Briana Descalchuk

Briana was very active growing up. She played many sports, including competitive ringette for over 20 years! During those years, she helped her teammates with impromptu massage treatments, which led to Briana to complete her formal massage training in 2005.

In 2012, Briana started training in the John F Barnes Approach to Myofascial Release (MFR). The approach made so much sense to her. It resolved her own persistent pain and changed her practice forever. She now exclusively offers Myofascial Release treatments.

“Since switching my practice to MFR, I am loving the opportunity to work with clients who have suffered with persistent (and sometimes unexplained) pain and seeing an ease and lightness return to their life.”

Briana is excited to be a part of the Lead team because of the multidisciplinary, therapeutic offerings it has for clients, the warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the potential for practitioner partnerships to be formed!

Myofascial Release is a safe and effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle but firm sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions created by trauma, inflammatory responses and/or surgical procedures.

Each MFR Treatment session is performed directly on skin without oils or creams. This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia. Please come to your appointments with clean, lotion free skin.
